Happy Fourth of July, America!
And for the rest of you, Happy Hitler Babyhand Day...
We are NOT a military state. So far.
We are NOT celebrating our military! The Fourth was about signing papers. Not about shooting.
"On July 2, 1776, the Second Continental Congress made its decree for freedom and two days later they formally adopted the Declaration of Independence on July 4. Hence why we celebrate Independence Day on July 4 every year."
WE ARE CELEBRATING WHAT AMERICA STANDS FOR. OUR DEMOCRACY. WHAT MAKES US USA.
Anyone with a military can have a military parade. It aint special.
(The surrender in Yorktown was Oct 1781. Just saying.)
