Alternative Gifting

My brother is broke so we won't be exchanging gifts this year. Just a couple to the kids. This is actually a hot topic of late, lack of funds. Let's face it, the economy sucks. So I was thinking of gifts that don't cost much. Like...
There are online paper dolls you can print out. Phee McFaddel has nice ones.
You could print out rules to a card game and give the instruction booklet and a deck of cards.
Shut The Box. Instructions and dice. Make a board if you want.
Want to bake, but don't have the time or space? Fill a jar with the dry ingredients, print out the recipe, tie a bow on the jar and let THEM bake. In the same vein- fill a jar with hot cocoa powder, throw in some stall marshmallows, tie a bow and be done. (which would look like a snowman graveyard, come to think.) Jar some dry soup. Could even use ziplock bags in a pinch.
Lots of face scrubs and other cosmetic treats can be made with food. Google, mix, tie a bow.
Lots of online games to play. Kids don't care.
Seed beads. Let the girl make her own damn bling.

Any more ideas? Help a gifter out. The cheaper the better.
